To touch, to hold, to remain.
I feel the warmth of your body’s weight contained on my chest. My chin rests gently on your soft head. I move my head from side to side in a rhythmic trance tethered to this world, to you. You hold me in place - planted, unable to move. I am motionless. I close my eyes. Your body moves up and down with each breath. Up and down, up and down. This moment seems suspended in time, like there is nothing else in this world - only you and your breaths. I can feel your little breaths on my neck. My body is wrapped around you.
We are tethered together.
